Trip to the Cotswolds

Hiya, well since it has been 8 weeks since John was born and most of that time I have spent in our house, I decided we needed a mini-vacation. So we looked through our Rick Steves' Great Britain book and found a great Bed and Breakfast in Stow-on-the-Wold, a town in the Cotswolds. We spent the weekend hiking and exploring the little towns nearby. John spent a good amount of time in the Baby Bjorn (thanks mom that was a great gift) strapped to Dave's chest and off we went! Our trip highlights were walking to Bourton-on-the-Water through Lower Slaughter, walking the Cotswolds Way, and eating fish and chips and Tesco pizza in our self-catering apartment while watching the Arsenal/Manchester United game. We love British TV!

At the end of our hike from Upper Slaughter to Bourton. See John all snug as a bug in a rug?

Dave and John out in front of our Bed and Breakfast. We had an apartment which was great with all the baby stuff we took with us.

We had good weather but it sure was cold! Cheers!

Good for you! Glad to hear you had a good time on your first "family" vacation. Doug and I took advantage of a couple of overlapping vacation days over the weekend and rented in a cabin in North Georgia mountains for a few days. It was beautiful and very relaxing (we put the dogs in the kennel). We got your adorable photos! Thanks for sending them.
