4 months and 7 years

We made it to four months! Adam is doing very well. I am really treasuring this time with him because I didn't do such a good job of that with John. I love how cuddly Adam is right now, and how much he "talks" to us. He has dropped his fourth nap and is now only taking three naps a day... but the naps are never at the same time so I am trying to figure him out. He is getting longer and is now in the 3-6 month or 6 month clothes.

I love this picture because it shows how active John is and how hard it is to get him to sit still for a picture. His imagination is running wild these days. He loves Giants and superheroes. When I asked him who his best friend is, he replied, "David and Goliath." He is also still in love with so many girls. His latest crush is a 10-year-old girl named Madison at church. We can bribe him to do a lot of things if we tell him that "Madison likes it if you do ___." I am sure this is a solid parenting tactic.

In other news, today marks the seven year anniversary of when Dave and I met. We went on a blind date on September 13, 2003. Today he got me some nice flowers to commemorate the day. This day is so special to me because when I think back to that day (and if you are married if you think back to the first day you met your spouse), I had no idea what was in store for us. I had no idea how much my life would change because of what happened that day. I feel like when I think back to our wedding day, I knew how big of a deal that day was when I was actually going through the wedding. But when I woke up that morning on Sept 13, 2003, I really had no idea what was in store. I think it is so neat and special. Some funny things about that first date:

- We had never met or seen each other before so we were both super nervous when he came to the door.
- Dave took me out for ice cream but he didn't finish all his ice cream because he was so nervous. I remember thinking how weird it was that he didn't eat all his ice cream because I love ice cream! I think that is the only time he has never finished dessert.
- He asked me what biographies I had read... uhhh... not too many. I guess just the biography of Jesus (a.k.a. the Bible). I felt pretty dorky.
- I was super nervous so I kept putting my hair up in a pony-tail and taking it down again... over and over.

Well that is it from our camp. We hope you are well. It is still in the 90s here with a lot of hummidity, but you know, it doesn't bother me that much because I still think I am thawing out from all that cold we experienced in England. I prefer the heat.

Cheers!

Love that David sent you flowers! We tend to let those dates pass us by without thinking about it! We should do better!
