It was really a neat thing to see the whole newspaper rack filled with these types of pictures and sayings all joyously announcing her birth. The British papers are known for their brash headlines and they are almost always negative in their tone. So it was so refreshing to see all of them genuinely proclaiming joy for the birth of the princess. They were celebrating life and it was so great to see. In church today, among the prayers for our congregation, the pastor prayed earnestly for the royal family and that God would indeed save the Queen.
The next good news: we sold our house in Pensacola! We purchased it in November of 2009, moved out in Novemebr of 2012 and rented it out for two years because we couldn't sell it before we left. When our renters unexpectedly moved out in January, we decided to cut our losses and try to sell, and thankfully we were able to do so. Buying a house was a big lesson-learner for us. Even though we consulted with many folks and felt we were making the best decision when we bought in 2009, things didn't go as we envisioned. It showed us that while it is good to be diligent in these matters, our hope has to be in the Lord and not our balance sheet. He gives and He takes away, may His name be praised.

Yay for selling your FL house!
I know that's a relief! Totally understand that feeling. Boast in Him, not our temporary dwellings :)
