The last easy birthday

Little Miss turned two last week. It was really a delightful birthday. I didn't have to decorate or do anything elaborate. She simply loved us singing to her, having cake and getting a few gifts. No stress! Easy peasy! I know that this won't be the case in the future so I really just enjoyed celebrating her without all the extra things we seem to feel the need to do these days. Here she is with her cake. I ran out of icing so instead of writing "Happy Birthday Natalie" on the cake I just wrote, "Natalie 2". Oh well!

Blowing out the candles

Enjoying the personalized card from Mima

Her new birthday outfit from Mima

We got her this princess kitchen off of gumtree (the British equivalent of Craigslist) and it was a big hit. She loves the Disney princesses so this was right up her alley. The boys fought to play on it too... it is so funny how they want to play with baby toys too.

Lovely hair... I think I need to start using conditioner on her. She is in the mullet phase of her hair growth.

In other news:

Everyone loves Cadbury eggs... did you know they sell Cadbury egg ice cream here? And biscuits? Yikes! i don't even want to try it as I don't think I would ever stop eating it!

New shoes! Only 10 pounds!

And a new "brolly" as they say here. She was delighted.

While the boys play "footie" she walks around the neighborhood with her brolly...

... on a perfectly sunny day. Oh to be two years old again!! Joy in all the little things.

Cheers.
