We went to Ickworth House right near where we used to live in Bury St. Edmunds. It is a lovely estate but watch out for all the sheep poop everywhere in the fields!
My parents stopped by here in mid-July for a week. We had lovely weather (right before a heat wave) so we enjoyed some time with them.
We took my parents out to dinner to celebrate their anniversary and my dad's birthday (both in the spring). It was perfect weather.
We enjoyed a morning at the botanical gardens but it was a bit hot.
After my parents left we took a day trip in to London. We hadn't been there in a long time so it was nice to go in, even if it was just for the day. Dave's parents got us tickets to the London Aquarium so we enjoyed that, then we took the famous walk to Buckingham Palace.... along with about 50 million other people :)
We pushed through the crowd (at my insistence) to get a picture in front of the Palace. We can't have lived here almost 2 years and not been there!
I didn't get any real good pictures from the day but what matters is that we had a great time. Good attitudes, easy in-and-out, nice weather, lovely picnic. Thank you God!
