6 months and sitting up

So yes, I am a little behind but on Monday John turned 6 months old! Below is the traditional shot of him next to his green hippo.

We had our 6 month doctor appointment this week and he is a little on the slim side. We are about to start him on solid food, and by that the doctors mean they want you to start with some cereal. Since he is a lightweight, they said we could skip the rice cereal and just go straight to feeding him brownie sundaes. Sounds good to me.

I feel that John is pretty whiny around me when we get close to meal times. Dave noted that I am food to John, so he sees me and thinks he wants to eat. So I thought to myself, I guess that makes sense because if I saw a Dairy Queen blizzard walking around my house around meal times, I would get whiny if I couldn't eat it either. Hopefully that is a viable comparison.

John is now sitting up on his own for a few minutes at a time. Below are some pictures of him early in the week when he was just starting to sit on his own.





On another note, Uncle Jason is here visiting us! We just need to take pictures of him and we will post about our adventures.
