Antiques!

I always said that we would have to wait until right before we moved back to the States to get some antique furniture because our house is too small to fit any more stuff. Well, that is before I found this fabulous Monk's bench in an antique store nearby. I have always loved Monk's benches but they are usually very pricey and many were too ornate for my taste. This one was beautiful, decently priced (they even dropped the price for us) and we were able to move some stuff around in our living room so we could make space for it!
Part of what makes a Monk's bench so neat is that it can function as a bench or as table by moving the back of the bench forward.

It also has storage inside the bench, as John is pointing out to us in the picture below

So I am figuring that my Mom will be our last visitor when she comes in July. So after that I can make the guest room the antique storage room!!! Sounds good to me!!
