11 months and some other stuff!

Here he is next to his hippo. We had to take this shot quickly because this kid does not sit still! At 11 months he is on the move and he loves to shake anything he can (maracas, the exersaucer, really anything that isn't bolted to the floor). He is all boy!

Grandma is here visiting for Thanksgiving! We have had such a good time with her and we are so blessed that she really just comes here to serve us and love on the kid. She is super helpful around the house and with John. It's nice to have her here.

On Saturday my mom watched John while Dave and I took a kidless trip into London. It was nice to be able to maneuver about without a stroller and a nap schedule. We saw the Imperial War Museum, finally got up in the London Eye (that's where I am in the picture above) and we went to Piccadilly Circus with half the world. Although we enjoyed our time in the City, we missed the little guy. I kept noticing people with babies his age and wondered, "how's John? What's he up to?" We felt incomplete without him.

On Sunday it snowed here! My friends in Idaho or Canada may think, "big deal?!?" but it is a big deal for snow to be here in the lower part of the U.K. in November. Dave loves the snow so I am happy for him. No comment on how I feel about the weather.

Sometimes we just have to make fun of John because he can be so silly. It's not like he has a hard life so when he cries sometimes we laugh. I thought this picture was so funny.

Well that's our update from here. How are you? Have a happy Thanksgiving! People in Britain don't celebrate Thanksgiving (obviously) and I have to tell you that I LOVE IT that the British grocery stores are open on Thanksgiving. It's fab.

Cheers!

Happy Thanksgiving!!! They don't celebrate American Thanksgiving here in Canada either (Canadian Thanksgiving is in October) and I'm also happy that I can shop and go for a coffee on Thanksgiving day, unlike in the US :) Tell your mom hi from us! My mom and dad are here visiting too and it's GREAT! Stay warm- boo for snow (at least in my opinion!).
