It's Official

Man I am no good at figuring out how to post pictures on blogger. I wanted this to be at the end but it isn't so oh well. It's a picture of John when he woke up one morning a few weeks ago. My mom loves how he is such a happy camper in the morning.

Okay now back to business. It is official that I have the best husband in the world. Tonight the Giants game was on TV and Dave doesn't get to see his team play very often because we live in the UK. So he was all excited to watch the game. Then our very generous friend Abi called us this week to offer to babysit John tonight so we could have a date night. So Dave (in addition to consistently cleaning the floors in our house because I just don't clean anymore due to my course load) gave up his Giants to take me to the movies tonight. We had a great time and saw the movie "Ghost Town" which was pretty good! I am grateful for Dave. He is great and so supportive.

Only four more days until my mom comes. We can't wait to see her! Dave and I are also planning a trip to France to go to the Christmas markets. I am so excited as it is sort of an end-of-the-Masters celebration trip as well as an anniversary trip. Can't wait.

One thing I dislike about blogs is that some people's posts can make their lives seem perfect and so put together. So when I write about my great husband and our upcoming travels I feel like I can come off that way. So to clear up any confusion, here are some of the realities of our lives right now:
- We've got a teething infant which means lots of screaming, picky eating, and us removing things like pieces of coal from his mouth (he loves the fireplace for some reason)
- We have an iron lung taking up tons of space in our garage... let us know if you happen to need one
- I haven't vacuumed upstairs in three months (I have no intention of vacuuming anytime soon), haven't washed the cars in almost a year, and I haven't ironed since John was born (except when I was in NM).

This has been a random post but the gist of it is that I want the world to know that Dave is great. Have a good week!
Cheers.

Yay for such a helpful, thoughtful hubby! I totally hear you on the floors and the ironing...I never have ironed and don't plan to start anytime soon. Some days our floors are so dirty with Holly's leftover lunch that I should just set her down there and let her clean up the scraps for her afternoon snack! Ah, the glamorous life of moms, huh?
