Verses

It's pretty hot here now most days... time for sticky popsicles. My mom got us this nifty popsicle holder but John still manages to get it all on his chest.

Our verse for May is Ephesians 6:1- "Children, obey your parents in the Lord." We are seeking to establish that God is the authority in our home and He has delegated His authority to us as parents. I know I know, you are probably thinking, "Kate, he is two years old. Does he really get what you are trying to say? Chill out." But the point is that we don't know when John will really start to get what we are saying. We want him to never remember a day when he didn't know that Jesus was the Lord. So that is why we do what we do!

Thank you all for your prayers for me as we continue to wait for Adam. I really have felt a lot better lately. Here are some verses that have encouraged me. Maybe they will encourage you too:

Psalm 138:8- The Lord will perfect that which concerns me.

Psalm 112:7-8- He will not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. His heart is established; He will not be afraid.

2 Timothy 1:7- For God did not give us the spirit of fear but of power, and love, and a sound mind.

Isaiah 46:4- I have made and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you.

Psalm 94:18-19- If I say, "My foot slips," Your mercy, O Lord, will hold me up. In the multitude of my anxieties within me, Your comforts delight my soul.

The nursery... complete with a picture of the old Yankee stadium above the crib.

Thanks for the blanket, Tara!!

Cheers.
