PT for Me

It has been about two years since my initial hip injury... well not so much even an injury... so I should say, "hip pain." I still have the same level of pain but I have just learned to live with it since there doesn't seem to be anything that can be done, aside from me visiting many doctors all over the place, which I just can't do. However, last week I was at the pool for a playdate, and it just so happens that a lady there, who I had never met before, mentioned she was a physical therapist with the Andrews Insititute. I was having some back pain that day so I asked her a few questions, and she said I should come see her because she specializes in post-partum women.

So I called one of my eight doctors (yes that is an exaggeration but I feel like I have a lot theses days) and got a referral to go see her. I saw her on Monday and she seemed very helpful and very knowledgable. She thinks my hip, back and knee (yes my knee is now injured too... yay!) are all related, and the main culprit is some very weak muscles in my back and my legs, that are causing other muscles to do extra work. Hopefully with eight to tweleve weeks of PT, I will be feeling a lot better. I am hopeful, but not too hopeful as I have heard this before (this will be my third round of PT). So if you think of me, please pray that for wisdom for Cara (that is the PT's name), and that I can find someone to watch my kids for all these appointments. Thank you!! I am thankful that I feel like God has not forgotten me in my pain, and He showed that by providing the opportunity at the pool that day for me to meet Cara.

 In other news:

We are finding ways to pass the time during Adam's naps. One of John's favorite activities was painting with "worms" (a.k.a spaghetti).

As I type this, Dave is taking John to see his first movie in the movie theatre! I bet you can guess which one it is. This is a big gamble, it could go really well or not so well. We'll see. He hasn't sat through a whole movie yet at home.

Lastly (but certainly not least), Dave's class of students graduated from the CSO program last week. We went to the graduation dining out and it was a really nice time. It is so fun to see the students and how excited they are. It helps me to get a glimpse of what Dave does everyday.

Cheers!
