Dave wins! He predicted that Adam would be walking by October 15, and he was right. Actually, Adam began walking on October 13. And by walking, I mean that is his main form of transportation. We were so happy to see Adam hit this developmental milestone. His physical therapist was so happy and she discharged us right away. Thank you to those of you who have encouraged us! Above is a picture of Adam walking around our kitchen with a Holland soccer scarf. He loves to wear it, don't ask me why.
In other Adam news... he is transitioning quickly from two naps a day to one nap. This is a time I had been looking forward to, you know, thinking of all the things we could do in the morning and not be so confined to the house for the morning nap time. But now that it is upon us, I feel like I can't get anything done!!! I was used to a block of time in the morning to spend with just John, as well as get a few things done around the house. Not anymore, as I now have a toddler getting into everything all morning. And now that John doesn't take a nap at all (just 50 minutes of rest time in the afternoon) I feel like I really don't get anything done. The few moments I have to myself I just want to veg. I know that we will get used to this but I always have a hard time with the transistions.
Cheers!

Yay! And I totally get how you feel about not enjoying transitions :)
Praying that you will get used to your new schedule quickly. Although, I feel like God is always keeping us on our toes...as soon as one phase ends, another starts. Ian and Emma NEVER napped at the same time so I am quite impressed that you were able to make that happen for over a year. I bought a spray bottle (just put water and vinegar in it) and mini dust buster for Ian so he has something to do while I am cleaning. It makes it a bit easier to get things done.
