VIP seats to the Blue Angels practice! Our squadron commander lives next door to Blue Angel #1, and they know that John loves the Blue Angels so they arranged for us to have special seats for one of their practices. It was a nice, cool morning (and those type of mornings are quickly coming to an end) and we had a great view of the whole show. Afterwards we got to meet all the guys and have a picture taken. John even got a special pin. It was very fun.
The whole practice is a show, from the way the crew sets everything up, the way the Blue Angels walk to their jets, to the way they get out of the jets. It is fun to watch because it is very formal compared to what we are used to.
Then this past weekend we went to see the Pensacola Blue Wahoos play. The Blue Wahoos are the new minor league team in town (AA affiliate of the Reds). They have built a brand new stadium on the bay it was really nice. We got the general admission seats on the grass in the outfield and it was perfect for the boys. Good weather, lots of room to play, a great family atmosphere. Dave commented that it was probably the most fun we have had together as a family. Of course it is always some work with two little ones, but not so bad. It helped that the game began at 4 so it was over by 7:30 and we were home by about 7:45. I wish we could attend every Sunday game, however, once the temperatures start to climb, I don't think it would be as fun.

Afterwards they let the kids run the bases as well as play catch in the outfield. There is Dave running the bases with Adam. He loved it!
Cheers!
