Well it was a great two years for the Moving Vans in the D.C. area, and to make a long story short, God has blessed us and answered our prayers in providing a dream job for Dave that enabled us to move back to the U.K. I hope to use this blog to keep our friends and family in the States up-to-date with what we are doing over on this side of the pond. Since this is a public blog I am not going to give a lot of details in where we are living, but if you would like to know more please send me an email.
Right now we are living in some temporary housing as we look for a permanent home. Thankfully the temporary living situation is comfortable, with a few parks and a good library nearby so that is nice for us. Our amazing friends the Helphinstines came to see us the first day we arrived, bought us dinner, and gave us some pay-as-you-go phones help us get on our feet. We are so grateful for them.
Our hope is by the next week or two we will have found a house, and then we will apply to get the boys into British schools. You have to apply for a school spot, and since we are already past the start of the school year, we will hope that there are spots available for them in the local schools. They have to provide a spot for us somewhere within the county, we just hope it is the local school. Although Adam is only 4, in the UK they start school at 4 so he will go to Reception (like their version of kindergarten). Then it will just be me and Natalie during the day! Quite a change from the past few weeks.
Here are some pictures of our time in DC prior to the move:
 |
| Taking a few pictures in the Halloween costumes before I gave them away |
 |
| In the same costume as her brother wore when they were babies |
 |
| After a ride on "The Capitol Wheel" at National Harbor. My mom came down to help me out for a few days while Dave was away. She was a big help! |

| Goodbye D.C.! It was a great two years. England here we come! |
Cheers!
