With the cost of living being what it is, I am trying to find some part-time work that I can do at home. As you can imagine this is a time consuming process as it is hard to find a good, legit, work-from-home opportunity.
Well last night I was pleasantly surprised that I was going to be hired by a contracting firm that works for Google. I had applied to be an Ads Quality Rater for the United Kingdom, which means that I would look at adds that were directed toward a British audience and make sure they make sense, aren't offensive, go with the British slang, etc. The pay was good, the hours were good, and the work sounded fun and not too heavy.
I started going through the online paperwork and about halfway through I came to a screen notifying me that there would be a small amount of "adult content" that I would have to to review. They said there was no way around it and if I wasn't okay with it, I couldn't have the job. Well, that was a big bummer and of course I am not doing it. I was a bit frustrated that they didn't say anything about this up front, after I had taken all the time to apply for the job in the first place.
So I am back to square one! We'd appreciate your prayers and I'll update on how it goes.
