Updates

Sorry it is becoming hard to keep up with the blog! I will try to be better.

On our walk back from church I caught the boys doing this:

For one brief, shining moment. Adam would hold John's hand all day if John let him, but that rarely happens.

Grandma bought the boys new sweaters so I had to take a picture.

Here is one funny tidbit from late: I am trying to be intentional about teaching American history, geography, patriotic songs, etc whenever I can. If we are here for awhile, I don't want them to be too far behind their peers in knowing the story of America. So at the base library I checked out a George Washington book for us to go through. Both boys loved it. John wanted to bring it in for show and tell to his class. I told him to choose his words wisely since George Washington defeated the British and these kids are all British! It might make them upset. So John told the story of Washington and these kids had, of course, never heard of him. His teacher asked to read a page to the class, so she read the page where the British surrender to Washington. Apparently the kids all sat wide-eyed to listen. At the end one boy exclaimed, "Why didn't the English keep in fighting??" ha!

It is starting to get noticeably brighter every day, I hope it is sunny where you are.

cheers!
