One week

Just a few funny/interesting things that happened over the course of a week. Below is a picture of the kids at the Imperial War Museum at Duxford. A great place to visit if you enjoy WWII history. One thing the boys have enjoyed is the Battle of Britain exhibition where they have a lot of video footage as well as makeshift bunkers and other things to help you realize what it might have been like to be alive here during the blitz. I feel like we can really picture it as many of those battles happened above these farm fields here in East Anglia... the same skies we look up into every day. As Adam was watching some of the videos he said, "Are those some daddys in those planes?" and I said yes. And then he teared up a little and said that it made him feel very sad to see some daddys getting shot down in the sky. He's a very sensitive little boy.

Can't remember what plane that was above, maybe a Hurricane from the war?

Here is a picture of our radiator in our living room. All houses here are heated with radiators not with forced air like in the States.

And here is what happens when your boys keep knocking against the radiator while it is a bit wobbly... it falls off the wall! It was very heavy as it is full of water. Thankfully, it didn't spring a big leak. But it make it so that we had to stay home all day to wait for the repairman.

Lastly, take a look at the conversation I was having with my British friends. Notice what they do here?

Notice the "xx" at the end of each text? That is how everyone ends their texts/emails here. I just thought this was funny because I would only think to do that at the end of a conversation, whereas here they do it at the end of every text. HA!

Cheers.

Love all the kisses in texts. I feel slighted when I get a 'K or Ok with at least a smiley! :) xx
