We took a day trip to Sandringham which is one of the Queen's estates and where the royal family spends Christmas. We showed up to tour the house and we learned that it closed for the season the week prior... ahhhhhh. Oh well, we enjoyed touring the grounds and seeing the church the Queen attends. In fact, she had just been there the day prior. That made us feel a bit special :)
The church. It looks like a normal English church on the outside but inside it is very ornate and lovely.
After Sandringham we went up to Hunstanton, on the Norfolk coast. It was nice to see the seaside again.
We also took them to the American Cemetery.
Another pic with the red rocks of Hunstanton
And Halloween of course! My favorite holiday! We took our neighbors with us to the base for a proper trick-or-treat. I don't think they have ever seen anything like that!
For some reason I can't find any more pics of the grandparents on my phone, maybe they are on Dave's phone? Anyway, it was a nice time and we look forward to more visits from them in the future. Now that daylight savings time is done we are cast into darkness here... sun is gone by 4:30 and our house is filled with restless kids... AHHHH.
