Finally!!!

I think Natalie's pose below speaks for the entire UK that daylight savings time is here and winter is over!!

YAY! Now it isn't warm yet, but it is bright! And for a long time!! Most days we are still in our winter jackets but at least the kids can play out all day and at night until 7:00... and the grass will now dry out quickly and not be so muddy. I do find it funny that, while over at a friends house,  when it was 57 degrees and windy, they had their windows and skylights open. I was frozen but 57 degrees is quite a warm up for us here!

And look! A good Easter picture! I decided that instead of threatening punishment, I would instead promise jelly beans and this is what I got. Lesson learned! Mind you it was freezing and immediately they went inside to put on jackets after I took the picture.

The resurrection of Christ was felt more deeply by our whole church family this year as we morn a family's stillborn baby girl. She died at 39 weeks and was delivered four days later. It was so shocking... instead of our pastor emailing the much-anticipated birth announcement, he emailed out the unbelievable news of her death. We continue to mourn daily with the family, but we have hope that just as Jesus walked out of the tomb, so will this little girl have eternal life with her God. She is dearly missed by all who anticipated her here, but she is with her perfect Parent in heaven. This life isn't all that there is... if it was, that would make her death beyond devastating. But we know this life is just a short breath before the real life begins. We eagerly await that next life, and we thank God for sending Jesus to pave the way for us. Not just in the perfect way He lived, but by dying a sacrificial death for us so that any who believe in Him will have their sins paid for and overcome the grave! Death is just a pause, eternal life with our Savior and our God awaits us on the other side. Lord, help us to live in light of Your resurrection!

Natalie joined in the jelly bean trail to her Easter basket this year. She loved it. This a tradition that my mom started with me when I was little.

Easter treats!

Cheers!
