Bits and Bobs

I am sorry to say but car problems cause me more stress than the average person. Maybe it is because I have experienced some significant car trouble in the past (burned out an engine while I was driving as a teenager; car broke down in the middle of nowhere Mississippi when I was 20 and my caravan left me and my friend behind; broke down on GA 400, etc) even though God has always been faithful to me in helping me resolve the issues. To make a long story short, I got a flat tire on my American car the last Friday of Easter holidays. As I made the calls to various tyre shops, they all say that they don't sell that kind of tyre in the UK. What???? The closest thing they have to it is a commercial tyre, but they wouldn't put that on my car. Thankfully, the base was able to find us one tyre in Belgium and they had it shipped here. Thankfully I only needed one! So a week later we received it and had it put on the car. I was SO thankful that this happened here where we were near a base. We will now be ordering a tyre to keep with us when we take our trips so that we won't literally be stuck somewhere because we can't find a matching tyre. Yikes!

Here I am with my beautiful new tyre. Oh how I love you.

It was the Queen's 90th birthday last Thursday. I love how all the negative and vicious headlines cease for the day and most of the papers just had a lovely picture of her and a congratulatory message. Lovely.

Here's another. I love the "Happy Birthday Ma'am." Several other papers said the same thing.

This. Isn't it gross? The healthworker passes them out to parents of two-year-old. No thanks!

Just a cute picture of Natalie painting. This kind of stuff gives Dave a heart attack so we don't do much painting at home :)

Cheers!
