Ahhhhh I feel SO much better! As I mentioned in the previous post, life was very tough just over a week ago while I was awaiting Dave's return. But this week has been over the top! First my mom came to town which is always nice. We had some good lunch dates and walks around the neighborhood. She also gave Dave and I a date night on Thursday which was much needed. Friday was my graduation ceremony on base. They had a ceremony for all the students on base who were graduating (associates, bachelors, and masters degrees) this academic year. I was blessed by several friends (see the photo above of Abi) who came to celebrate with me and of course my mom who came to town for this special day!
Then on Saturday she gave us a night at a fancy hotel in town as my birthday gift! I have never spent one night away from John so this was so wonderful. Dave and I got take-out and watched british TV, slept in, and had a fancy breakfast. Thanks mom!
Today was my birthday (can you guess how old I am???) and we celebrated with the Watson family as they had their son, Asher, dedicated at their local church. Emily suprised me with a birthday cake which was great. You know I love me some cake! Tara I will have your piece since you don't like cake.

Last but defintely not least, don't try to call me during the day on Wednesday. My wonderful hubby got me a day at the spa as a birthday/mother's day/ post-deployment gift. Yipee!
Just in case you are sick of hearing how awesome my life is right now, just know that I am FREEZING here on this little island. So if it is warm where you are consider yourself very blessed. Cheers!

Sorry to hear you are so cold over there. It's nice an toasty here in Texas. :) Just wanted to give you a big CONGRATS on completing your Master's. You rock! Not sure I'll ever get down that road. I'm giving myself until I'm 40 to do it which is getting closer by the minute. AH! Glad to hear life is now on the up and up.
