Transitions

Well our PCS is upon us and we have had to adjust our lifestyle accordingly. Above is a picture of Dave in our new dining arrangement since we sold our dining room table. John is making the transition from two naps to one and thus needs to go to bed early (read: whining, bad behavior) so usually Dave and I eat together. We have been watching Wimbledon on the BBC iplayer during this time. In Britain you pay a tax to watch TV and our TV license expired yesterday. Since we are moving we didn't renew the license so we are not allowed to use our TV. Therefore, we are getting good use out of the BBC's website.

Since it is a new month that also requires a new bible verse to memorize. I love Psalm 138:8- "The Lord will perfect that which concerns me." Isn't that so wonderful and comforting? But I feel like I may have already had that as my verse so we are going to do another one:

Colossians 1:27- "... Christ in you, the hope of glory."

I like this a lot because God has promised His followers that He will never leave them, but this verse also teaches that Christ dwells within us, so cool. For example, I during tough times I am comforted that Dave will always be here, but since he is not me he can't fully experience my own trials and all my emotions associated with those trials. But since God is always with me and always in me (as this verse suggests), God knows both what I am going though and how I am experiencing each particular situation. That gives me great comfort especially as we prepare to move back to the States.

Cheers!

Best wishes for the upcoming move! The photo of Dave eating off the little chair is priceless :) We have definitely had our fair share of furniture-free, "roughing it" living arrangements too! Ah, the joys of moving!

Kate, I finally figured out how to leave comments! How happy my heart is to read your Blog. And John dancing! Have a possible girlfriend. Will forward pictures of Lindsay's Gia. Spent 2 days in Boston with her - and YV and new baby Dante 8 days old! Spent several hours with Jenn and wedding planner. What fun. Off to bed early day. Happy 4th. Love, Sue
