We are now members of the zoo so we can go whenever. It's great to have a fun place like this to go when we don't have anything to do. I just wish we could get season passes to Freddy's Custard so we could eat that whenever we wanted... but that would be a problem.
Okay so here is the verse:
Proverbs 11:25- A generous man will prosper. He who refreshes others will himself be refreshed.
I think this verse speaks for itself. We can tend to be too frugal at times and I want John to remember this verse so he isn't as uptight as his mom.
Someone recently asked me what I do with these verses. Back in England when we had furniture I would write the verse on a card and place it on the changing table so I would read it to him every time I changed him (at least that was the goal). Then I am compiling the verses into a photo album where I place each verse next to a picture of John in that month. And if that adds up to too many verses down the line (like when he 8 or something) then I would pick a few verses from each year and match them with a few pictures from that year. When he is older I would give him the photo album so he can know how different scriptures were taught to him all throughout his life.
We just got a new children's bible for John as well. We read one bible story first thing each morning and then we say our prayers. We have invited John to pray first before we pray for him and lately he has been praying for our friend Matt by name which is really cute. He also prays for Daddy and for the airplanes. Maybe someday I will make his list!
Cheers.

I agree, they should definitely have season passes to ice cream stores :)
Don't worry, I think at this age all kids think dad is #1. Holly is the same way and yells "Daddy!" when he comes home. When I arrive home it's like "oh hey, lady". That is too sweet that he prays for his dad, your friends and the airplanes!
