As I mentioned in a previous post, in England they say "bits and bobs" to mean odds and ends. So here is another post filled with odds and ends.
- Well we are about a month out from my due date so we are enjoying our last days as a family of three. I am starting to feel ready for Adam to arrive. I am actually looking forward to it and I think it will be a really great thing. My sister-in-law Rachel advised me to sit down and write out a schedule of what our days will look like with one million newborn feedings, and doing that made me feel a lot more ready. We have been talking to John a lot about baby Adam and I feel like he is excited as well.
- Dave was gone for the last five weeks at a training course in Alabama and we are SO glad he is home! John became a lot more clingy to me while Dave was gone, so it has been a struggle to get him to be content with just being with daddy. John also has begun to throw fits when we take him to familiar places like the church nursery, the CDC, etc. However, Dave has done a great job of being silly with John as well as firm with him to get him to overcome this mommy-itis. Obviously we want to nip this in the bud before the baby gets here.
- I am still debating whether or not to get a double stroller. John does not do well in the stroller anymore so I am wondering if it is worth the money. I would really like to get a double Bob so this is not a decision to be taken lightly. Any thoughts?
- This morning at church a woman said to me, "You look so young, when I first saw you I thought, 'is that the fifteen-year-old girl who is pregnant?'" I said to her, "I am turning 30 next month!!" Crazy. Someone told Dave this week that he looked like he was 19. So I guess we make a good teenage couple.
Our verse for April is Joshua 1:9- "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid... the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." John has had a lot of fears lately so this verse is very applicable. He did so well at memorizing last month's verse because it applied to him. Hopefully the same will be true for this month.
Cheers!

I just love y'all...have I told you that lately? What sweet pictures you've posted, John is getting so big!! Glad to hear that you're all getting ready for the big arrival, it will be here before you know it :) Can't be of much help w/ the double Bob question, though I'm all for anything BOB...I love those!
Here's my 2 cents on the stroller. We left our single stroller in Slovakia for a family when we left because I knew I wanted to get a sit n stand - where one kid sits in a seat up front, and the other (or other 2) sit or stand on the back. I have liked it, but I honestly don't use it a ton, and here's why - when we are in the grocery store, I'm using a cart. To just cart Mackenzie around, I used one of those snap and go carseat only strollers - super light and I could maneuver with one hand (while holding Morgans). Now when we go on walks the kids walk and I put Mackenzie in the umbrella stroller. I have used my sit and stand enough to make it worth it, but nowhere near enough for the price I paid. At the same time, the times I use it (like in the mall, which we go about 2x/year), it has been indispensable. Kind of one of those necessary but annoying things, but I would encourage to buy used or cheaper if you can. Maybe you will use it more than you think, but that's what I found - plus it's big and takes up a lot of space, so I just store it in the trunk of my van.
You look beautiful and I'm so excited for your family! Happy Easter!
I just want to hug you. I love the belly, you sport it so well. I have no idea what a Bob is...some sort of inflatable nanny? haha...
I'm the last one to give mom advice so feel free to ignore. John might like sitting in the stroller if he has a baby brother right next to him? I know that's a big if but it might work? If you go the used route just make sure you know what type of stroller interests you. I just read an article that found 80% of baby resale shops across the country have recalled items for sale in the store.
