- Holy cow John has been driving me crazy lately. This past week was particularly hard. All of a sudden I have a few tough days and it really puts me in a bad mood. I get consumed by my emotions and wonder if all my hard work (or not-so-hard work, depending on the day or time of day) is even worth it. After all, I have boys so when they grow up they won't call me much right? Ahhh see there I go with my negativity. Today I was reading this stellar book on marriage (it's called "Marriage! The Journey" by Anne Tripp) and it was reminding me how I am to focus on "... whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, (to) think about those things." (Phil 4:8). Good encouragement. Also, this other book I read awhile ago said that God's word is truer than anything I feel, God's word is truer than anything I experience. I am trying to meditate on those things more.
- Verizon got the iphone! American Idol starts this week! The Office was a rerun last week... they showed the episode where Jim and Pam got married and I cried again! I have seen it like four times (not including the 10 times I watched the wedding scene on youtube) and I still cried.
- Are any of you not very handy like me (or like us)? I see so many of my friends doing all these DIY projects and I get overwhelmed just thinking about painting our little bathroom. Is anyone else as quick to call the contractor as me?
- Some of you may know that I used to work for North Point Community Church back in my wild single days. Well when I was there I was fortunate to learn a lot about how a church can be effectively organized. I am really passionate about that kind of stuff. So my pastor here found out about my past life and asked me to come help them with some reorganization. I am so excited and they seem excited to have me on board too. I just hope to not step on too many toes as there is a lot of emotions envolved in church programming. Stay tuned.
- Adam is now 8 months old. I don't have the picture to post yet. Someday soon hopefully. He is getting very big and we just moved him out of the baby carseat into his own big Britax seat. I was ready to switch John into a booster seat until our doctor advised us against it. So we now have too big bulky carseats but it is worth it. I drive kind of fast so I would rather them both be safe :)

You are right when they grow up the boys will not call you much and not tell you anything either. :) Speaking from experience of course. But, I still love David :) Good blog...
Congrats, friend! So excited to hear about the church opportunity :) What a blessing you will be to them. Oh, and I watched The Office wedding about 2 weeks ago and cried, too! It was my first time to see it, and it was awesome!
