Here are a few highlights:
- We moved into a good-sized townhome in Alexandria, with a great commute to work for Dave. It also fairly close to DC so we go in there a lot without much trouble.
- Since our home wasn't selling, our realtor helped find us a renter for our home. While it isn't our first choice, we will trust God and hope it works out okay.
- Friendly people. Coming to a big city I really expected everyone to be a bit gruff, but I have found the opposite to be true. Everyone has been really friendly, even in traffic!
- We found a preschool for John to attend. He will start after the new year. And it is only 3 days a week which is what I wanted.
- Reconnecting with old friends has been great. One of the best perks of being in the military.
- I got my stent out! I met with a new urologist who removed the stent that had been placed in my ureter during surgery 6 weeks ago. I was so glad to get it out. I feel like I can close that chapter of my life now.
- We are loving all the green space around our townhome. There is a park just a few hundred feet away, and lots of paths through the forest that we walk to.
