Catch-up

So much to say, so little time. So here are some pictures to suffice! They are almost all in order.

Dave and the boys on the first night in our new townhome... sans furniture of course!

Here is the picture that is out of order. Dave's last day as an Active Duty AF Captain. I wish we could have done something special for him that day, but I had just gotten out of the hospital and was in no shape to celebrate. He is such a good man to care for me when it should have been his special day. We are proud of him.

Adam looking at digital picture frame. Actually, he is kissing the frame because it is showing a picture of Princess Aurora from Disneyworld.

Having dinner with the fabulous Bales/Watson families. The Bales hosted us for almost two weeks as we figured out a place to live. They were truly the hands and feet of Jesus to us as we got settled. They continue to show us love as we get on our feet.

Here John is constructing the Reagan National Airport. He has loved going the park behind the airport and watching the planes land, so now he has to reinact it. It seems he has forgotten about the Blue Angels and now favors "jumbo jets."

 Putting together Ikea furniture

BOXES and PAPER galore!

Our HHG came on December 19th (our 8th anniversary) so we finally got a tree on December 21st!

Putting the cross on top of the tree

John was really into the decorating of the tree this year

On December 23rd we celebrated John's 5th birthday. We were happy to have Dave's parents with us. That is the nice thing about having a Christmas (or near-Christmas) birthday is that we almost always have family with us to celebrate.

John thrilled to get a Jet Blue airplane toy for his Reagan National Airport.

I had to get Adam a balloon on John's birthday... it is tough to be a 2 year old on your older brother's birthday. And yes, this is a princess balloon because he loves his Disney Princesses.

 Decorating cookies with Mima

Liking the gift from Grandpa and Grandma

Out for a Christmas Day walk in DC. It was great weather

 Giants outfits for Christmas

A new book from Mima and Papa

Christmas Day at the White House... not sure why they didn't invite us for dinner????

A few days after Christmas we finally got around to decorating a gingerbread house... this was actually a Gingerbread Home Depot. Kind of funny, but cheap!!

We hope you had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Cheers!
