A New Milestone and some other stuff

Today was the first day we went for a walk in the big boy stroller. It's a nice Maclaren and we love the way it handles on the winding footpaths. Here are a few pictures from the experience.

We are really enjoying our visit with Mima and Papa (Dick and Doreen, Dave's parents) who came here for the week. Doreen has cleaned the whole house and let me do lots of errands on base. Dave and Dick went to Wales for two days and hiked around. They had a great time despite the cold and difficult terrain of the hike. Also, Dave has been off work so I have been able to nap and just relax. But most of all, I have just enjoyed everyone's company and fellowship. I don't want them all to leave!! Neither does John!

Okay don't you just love these British shirts that say things like "mummy" instead of "mommy"? I love it. This isn't the best picture but it says "50% Mummy, 50% Daddy, 100% cute." This was a hand-me-down from some British neighbors.

Here is a video of John moving his head back and forth. It was entertaining for us for a few mintues. Hopefully you'll like it too. Cheers!

Kate...I happened upon your blog when I was reading Moe & Curt's and was excited to see you had a baby. Little background on who this is first...we met subbing at Lakenheath and I actually worked with you in PSCD just a few days after I had found out I was pregnant! But, either you didn't know yet or you weren't telling :-) My little girl was born Dec. 25th and its fun to see that John is doing all the same things. Also, that you & your husband react the same way to baby's fun little tricks. We video taped Maddie moving her head around like that, too...we call it her Ray Charles/Stevie Wonder act. ~Carrie Fogle (if you're still not sure who I am, ask Maureen:-)
