Song 2:4- His banner over me is love
I love the image of the banner of God over me. It reminds me of those huge American flags you see flying over a car dealership or military base. I imagine that I have one of those wrapped around me several times, keeping me warm. That kind of banner would completely engulf my body. So I imagine that God's banner over me is even more comprehensive than that. And how amazing that that banner is love! We hope that John knows that even though his sins are like scarlet, God is constantly loving Him, just as He loves you and me. Romans 5:8 says "God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
