The Duncans! Yes we got our first Christmas card in the mail on Tuesday and it was from Chris and Amy. I love getting Christmas cards and letters. Some people feel that they are opportunities for others to brag about their lives, but I think they are a great way of staying in touch... much like blogs. I love blogs and Christmas cards so if you have an extra Christmas card, send it our way. I have to say that the best card/letter we get each year is from the Silva's in New Mexico. Mr. Silva always writes a funny poem about their lives over the past year and it makes me laugh each time.
We aren't sending Christmas cards out this year because:
a) I'm lazy
b) I'm busy
c) I'm forgetful
d) I love chocolate cake
e) all of the above
If you guessed "e" then you are correct!
My friend Janell was telling our bible study group that her family has a tradition where before throwing out all the Christmas cards at the end of the season, her family picks one and each day they pray for the family on the Christmas card. How neat!

John says: Thanks Mima for the hand-knit scarf! Red is my best color. Cheers!

I love Christmas cards too! I always keep the family pictures on our fridge for months after the holidays! John looks adorable in his new scarf! What a cutie pie!
Yay for being the winner :) My mom got me in the habit of sending out Christmas Cards on December 1st every year...I can't break it now! One of our family traditions is that we take the old Christmas cards and make place-mats out of them to use next Christmas. We just glue them on some construction paper and laminate them (writing who they are from on the back). It's a fun way to remember the previous Christmas! I like Janell's idea too...I think I might try that this year!
