13 Month Celebration

John, me, Michelle and Mikayla

If you have been following our blog for awhile, you are probably aware that for the first 10 months of his life, John had a "friend girl" named Reagan. Although Reagan was a bit older than him, he still tried to woo her, but to no avail. She ended up moving to another country! Was he really that bad of a "friend boy" to her?? However, Reagan wasn't the first girl in his life. Long before he was born we found out my best friend Michelle was going to have a baby girl just a few weeks before John was due. So I hoped that John and Michelle's daughter, Mikayla, would hit it off.

Well we have not been able to spend much time with Michelle and Mikayla since our kiddos have been born. We missed Mikayla's huge birthday celebration last month. We have had the blessing of getting to spend some time with them lately so tonight we had Michelle's family over for dinner and we had a belated birthday cake for John and Mikayla. Mikayla loved the cake but John wasn't so keen. I don't think he ate any of it and he defintely didn't like the icing on his hands. Oh well... more cake for me!

He acted like we were torturing him when we offered him his cake! Crazy kid. Cheers!

Ha ha, that is too funny! Holly is the exact same way and will only eat cake if we feed it to her with a fork! At her birthday she looked at the cake, touched the frosting and then held up her hand for us to wipe it clean! Strange little kiddos, huh? I'm so glad you're getting to spend time with good friends!

Wish we were there to join in the fun! :( I would love to get Caleb in on the toddler fun! With another one well on the way, we are staying put.

Reagan still thinks he is a great "friend boy" She definitely misses their play time! She waves at pictures of him when I have him on the computer. We miss you guys!
