First Day!

I asked Dave what he thought Obama and I had in common. Dave said that we were both smart. Isn't he great??? Well yes, we are both smart but the main thing we have in common is that yesterday was the first day on the job for us. While my first day came with a bit less pomp and circumstance than Obama's, I was treated very nicely by my co-workers and I enjoyed being a semi-professional again. John began his child care and had a pretty standard first day. Crying bouts mixed with calm times of playing with the kids or on his own.

The worst part of the day was what happened to me at lunch. I decided to have some green chile stew. So I got my stew and sat down to eat with my new co-workers. I underestimated the power of the green chiles and I began to cry as I was eating it because it was so hot! I was really em brassed. You know they say not to eat spaghetti or something messy on a first date. Well I would also recommend not eating something really spicy on a first date or a first day in a new job. Cheers!
