Here is some trivia about us:
1,000,000- the number of times John says, "ta!" each day. "Ta" is his word for everything. He also says "boom" when he sits down, and "dadadadada" some too, but "ta" is the prefered phrase. We have no idea where he got that from.
5- the number of shots John had to get at his 12 month check-up yesterday. He was so brave. I am so thankful for our good healthcare but I hate having to watch him get poked. In England they call shots "jabs." Isn't that awful?!?!? I feel like it makes it sound so much worse to say that someone is getting a jab vs. getting a shot. Yikes.
4- the number of seasons of "the Office" that we have watched. You may be wondering, "why aren't you watching season 5?" Thanks for asking. We ordered season 4 from Amazon and with our purchase came free episodes of season 5 from Amazon On Demand. So we went online to "demand" them but because we live outside the U.S., we can't view them. Bummer! Don't tell us what is happening on the show then if you are watching it
3- consecutive days that snow has remained on the ground. It has melted in some places but it defintely stuck. This is a big deal for us here in the East of England.
2- Number of coffee dates this week. One with my husband and big boy, the other with my good friend Amy. I love going out for coffee even though I don't drink coffee. I always get hot chocolate with marshmallows. Oh yeah, I need to get working on making those homemade marshmallows.
0- number of thermostats in our home. No, I am not referering to automatic thermostats that you can set. I mean we have no thermostat in our house. There is just an on/off program that doesn't reach any specific degree. Therefore, our house is pretty cold. You may think this is crazy and why would we ever rent a house with no thermostat. Well, when was the last time that you looked at a house and made sure there was a thermostat??? We just assumed there was one in the house. No dice. Moral of the story: always make sure there is a thermostat in your prospective abode.
-146 - The current temperature reading the other day for our town according to the BBC. The reading was obviously wrong but it did make me laugh. Sometimes I feel like it is -146 degrees here!
Cheers!

That is so funny about the thermostat but you're right, I wouldn't have thought to check either. I know I'd have that thing cranked on all the time, though :) The -146 made me laugh too- I feel like we're at least that cold here in Calgary and, yes, I have done my fair share of complaining about it this winter for sure!!!
Hey Guys!
Long time no talk. John is getting so big! How is everything going? I just wanted to tell you all about the Office. Jim does this really funny prank and then Pam smiles and Jim looks at the camera and shrugs. It is awesome! Don't worry, I wouldn't spoil it for you guys. We have the same problem, but I just download the episodes. I don't feel guilty about it either because I am an American citizen and I am entitled to life, liberty and free episodes of the US version of the Office! They show them for free anyway.
Well, all is going well in Honduras, are you guys going to be able to make the reunion in August? We'll be there, God willing of course. I am looking for jobs in the US and we are going to try to head back this summer. Not a great job market though. Well, take care,
Kyle
P.S. I think that I would rather be jabbed than shot. A little jab in the ribs beats being shot, that's just my two pence though.
