Belly Shot

Tomorrow I will be 32 weeks along. Thankfully all is really going well!

Here is a pregnancy update:

  • I still have my weird gallbladder-but-not-gallstones pain now and then, but it isn't as debilitating as before.
  • I have stopped weighing myself as a few weeks ago I past the amount I had gained with John. I don't even eat all that much but the weight keeps comin'! But I am not stressing about it much as I remember it came off pretty quick after John was born.
  • My belly button is an outie now! I used to think outies were weird, but now that I have one, it's cool.
  • I used to really want salsa all the time. I wouldn't call it a craving, but more like something I just liked to eat everyday. Now I don't want anything to do with it. Yuck.
  • I am still getting comments at the gym. This nice older man who works there says I am very tough because I exercise when I am pregnant. I am like, "Thanks, but putting John in the CDC for an hour so I can exercise is not tough." I do like the looks I get from the meaty Navy guys when I go to the free weights room to lift some light free weights.
  • I totally miss sleeping on my stomach
  • I am getting a lot more hungry now at the end of this pregnancy. It's kind of weird.

Are you ready for St. Patrick's Day?? We are! I am having a few buddies over for some St. Patrick's Day treats that afternoon. I should probably plan to do something crafty with the kids, but all I can think about is eating green cupcakes or something. But seriously, if you haven't read, "How the Irish Save Civilization" you should. It is a great book that tells the story of St. Patrick. He was a great saint... it made me want to name a son after him. Dave says no because we are Dutch. Oh well.

Speaking of names, we have decided to name boy #2 Adam Arthur. We just like the name Adam a lot (and we like Adam Segal too!), and Arthur is my dad and grandpa's name. So John and Adam it is!

Cheers. It is finally starting to warm up here, hopefully it is the same in your neck of the woods. Geez now I sound like Al Roker.
