March is a busy month for our family, as you can see from the chalkboard above. Dave's birthday, St. Patrick's Day (I am half Irish so John is a quarter Irish, and Dave wishes he was Irish too), My parent's anniversary, and Noah's (Dave's nephew) birthday. All that John manages to remember from this calendar is that Noah's birthday is soon. Don't you love my drawing of a clover, a birthday cake and a church?
Below the calendar of events is a prayer that I feel led to pray each day: that we would love God, love His Word, love the church and love others. I want our lives to be marked by loving each one of these things. It's a work in progress for sure! Especially the church part. It is so easy to get bogged down in what we don't like about church or come up with excuses to not get involved. But the church is a huge part of our Christian walk. Christ loves the church and choose her to be His primary vehicle to tell the world the gospel message. Therefore, I feel like I should make an effort to love the church and lift it up. I want to stop putting it down on my priority list, and shift to pray diligently for it and get involved with it, accepting it's quirks and praying for it's blessing.
Our new verse for the month is Psalm 118:6- "The Lord is with me; I will not be afraid."
Cheers! More belly pics and videos of John coming soon.

Okay several thoughts- first your little chalkboard list/calendar totally reminds of something a teacher would have in her classroom. Cute! Second, I love your short simple verses of the month. We were talking in Bible study several nights ago about using scripture for discipline, and I had to tell our group about your verses because I know that you will be using them lots in the futures. So often we don't have the WORD in our hearts and therefore don't apply it to our lives! Proud of you!
All Noah can think about is Noah's birthday! Really looking forward to seeing you guys in a couple of weeks!
