Tears and Fears

We have a very spunky 17-month-old on our hands! And she wants your iPhone! If she sees you with it/on it, she will either try to grab it or look to you and say, "peeaase." It is not like I give it to her to play with (well maybe once when I was desperate), she steals it from my purse or if it is on the counter she will swipe it. She loves to look at pictures; that is really why she wants it.  Below was an attempt to take a picture of her in a new outfit my mom had bought, but she only wanted the phone. When I wouldn't give it to her, she gave me these faces.

Stinker.

She is currently very intrigued but also very scared of animals. Below is when we were at the park and there was a cat roaming around (we have noticed that in our neighborhood many people have cats and just let them loose). She was paralyzed. She just stood there and cried.

You can see the cat under the slide, and she just stands there crying. And I just stand by and take pictures :)

In some more optimistic news, she now has grown enough hair to have a little curl at the back of her head! Dave says that her hair growth is consistent with male-patterned baldness; not much growth on the top but growth at the back. Thanks dude.

Summer is starting to show itself around here, even though the boys have 3.5 weeks of school left. It was getting rather humid yesterday and I had the fleeting thought of, "we should turn up the A/C" only to remember there is no A/C here.... they are predicting temps in the mid-80s next week. Yikes!

Cheers!
